Abstract:
David Chubinashvili’s opinion about surname of Bagrationi is quite interesting issue. Hence, our work in these directions will obviously be an innovation with the purposes of revealing D. Chubinashvili as great Georgian historicist and developing modern Georgian historiography as well. I will try to do my honorable bit in solving the mentioned problem. Methods of research, methodology, experience, found materials, the analysis and conclusions of the study on the different periods of the history of Georgia, David Chubinashvili used to be a great acquisition for the modern Georgian historiography. Thus, our work in this direction will not only innovation in the presentation of a well-deserved D. Chubinashvili historian of Georgia, but also in the development of modern Georgian historiography.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the educational policy of the government of Russia of XVIII-XIX centuries, reveals the peculiarities of social-political and educational movement in the province in the period and reveals his influence on the development of the school and the humanistic ideas of the North Caucasian peoples; the conclusions drawn are that the first stage public awareness of thought (the end of XVIII – 60-e years of the XIX centuries) was marked by the further development of public education in the region and the emergence of the pioneers of highland intellectuals, who, under the guidance of leading Russian educators, awakened public opinion of their peoples and Orient the latter on further rapprochement with each other and with the great Russia.

The Historical Significance of Joining the Central Caucasus to Russia

Abstract:
Integration of Central Caucasus into Russia had a wholesome influence on socio-economic and cultural development of domestic population of this region. The people of Central Caucasus were enabled to learn Russian culture, to write and to speak Russian as well as to create and to develop their own national written languages. The first books and schools in Central Caucasus were established also after integration into Russia in XVIII century. Popularization of Orthodox Christianity in Caucasus was launched by the tsarist government up from fourteens of XVIII century. It has played a positive role in cultural development of mountaineers.

Abstract:
The work presents the diplomatic activity of the Georgian Democratic Republic in Europe, with the aim of recognition of its sovereignty at the international level. On March 14, 1919, the Georgian delegation has presented a Memorandum to the conference with a short description of past and present realities of Georgia. The document has been argued the need for state independence of Georgia. By this Memorandum, the Georgian authorities have requested the allied states to support the choice of the Georgian people, Georgian people's choice, the recognition of the Georgian nation among other nations and recognition of its sovereignty.

Abstract:
The article gives an overview of the thirteen years of existence of the journal „History and Historians in the Context of the Time”. This paper presents retrospectives of the journal 2003 - 2016, as a testimony to their persistent work on developing and improving the quality of the content of the journal. From this presentation editorial is noticeably much commitment editor in chief Dr. Aleksandr Cherkasov and the editorial board, to present the results of current research on the history and culture of the Caucasus, as well as immeasurable scientific and professional contribution in this respect by numerous authors. In an editorial is presented and his current position and achievements "History and Historians in the Context of the Time" with Impact Factor of OAJI in 2016 is 0.351 and MIAR is 6.114. In the judgment of certain scientific of contributions in this, but also any future issue of the journal "History and Historians in the Context of the Time", it would be important to keep and thought which Journal had and has a quality that is gained to continue to be significant support to historians - researchers as a place where they can publish their research results.
